Recent Work / Writing to Remember

It's about time I shared some new work! I actually wrapped this project up months ago, but hadn't shared it over here yet. So let's get to it...

Writing to Remember / Letterform Creative

Meri Kate Purgason, founder of Writing to Remember, contacted me ready to grow her blog from a personal place of healing to a welcoming community for anyone suffering from a loss. She had suffered some huge losses in her own life and had begun to find healing through writing letters. She wanted to extend her hand to others experiencing loss in their own life and let them know that their story is worth sharing. At its core, WTR is an invitation to share your story

When we acknowledge Who it is that has written our stories, there is no chapter we have to keep secret or one that He won’t use for His glory and our blessing.

As far as the design went, it was very important that it feel inviting and comforting. We did that by using some hand-lettering in the logo and submark to make the brand feel personal and welcoming. A color palette of blues created a comforting feel. It also had to be gender-neutral in order to appeal to an audience of both male and female readers.

The purpose of the website is to share Meri Kate's personal letters, as well as to invite others to share their own. Readers can browse the library of letters and they can also submit letters directly on the website. The website uses a parallax effect, so visit it live to get the full effect!

Meri Kate was such a joy to work with and it was a huge honor to help make WTR come to life! I can't wait to see the ways in which it continues to grow!

Process // Sketching for Lauren Cash Branding

Once we nailed down the mood board and overall direction for Lauren’s rebrand (see last post), we moved on to the sketching and ideation phase. We always put pen to paper before ever going digital
New Work // Mood Board for Lauren Cash

This is not the first time we’ve branded Lauren’s business—far from it actually! What we love about Lauren is she’s not afraid to pivot and make the changes to her business that are best
